Filipe Franca is a graduate of the Florida State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and International Affairs. After completing his undergraduate degree, he was hired at the Florida Attorney General’s Office’s Economic Crimes Division, where he fought on behalf of Florida consumers harmed by unfair and deceptive practices. While working at the Attorney General’s Office, Filipe enrolled at the Florida State University School of Law with an eye towards working in the Human Rights field. After obtaining his J.D., he worked at the Ninth Judicial Public Defender’s Office, where he defended clients charged with crimes who could not afford an attorney. His experience at the Public Defender’s Office was vast and ranged from helping his clients get out of jail, to actively fighting for his clients’ constitutional rights through motions and trials, to doing his own criminal appeals. His commitment to helping those without a voice brought him to Krapf Legal, where he now fights for homeowners who are wrongfully denied coverage by the big insurance companies in Florida. Filipe has and always will fight for individuals whose rights are attacked and violated by entities larger than themselves. Filipe is trilingual; he speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish, and uses his language skills to help those in need.
He enjoys rainy weather, hiking, coffee, traveling, and finding the best restaurants in his area (recommendations are always accepted).
