Tara McDonald is originally from New York and has been living in Florida for over twenty years. Ms. McDonald earned her B.A. Magna Cum Laude from Marymount College of Fordham University in Tarrytown, New York. She then went on to receive her Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude at Pace University School of Law. While at Pace, Ms. McDonald was on Law Review and participated in the Environmental Litigation Clinic under the supervision of Robert Kennedy, Jr. Ms. McDonald began her legal career in at a firm in Manhattan in New York, focusing primarily on insurance and reinsurance coverage litigation and arbitration. Warmer weather and relatives drew her to Florida where she continued her practice, focusing on insurance coverage, complex commercial litigation and business law. After starting a family, she accepted a position as a staff attorney for the Civil Circuit Court Judges in Pinellas County, Florida. As a staff attorney, she continued to develop her litigation and research skills while working closely with her assigned Judges. This experience increased her comfort in the courtroom and her proficiency in litigation. Before joining Krapf Legal, Ms. McDonald spent several years litigating complex creditor’s rights matters. Ms. McDonald is admitted to practice in Florida, New York and Connecticut State Courts along with the Federal Middle and Southern District Courts of Florida. In her spare time Ms. McDonald enjoys travelling with her children, mountain biking, kayaking, horseback riding and spending time with her dogs.
