Anwar Twine Thomas is a Tampa Bay native. In 2012, Anwar earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Marketing and Business Management with a minor in English from Florida State University. After completing his undergraduate degree, he went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami’s school of law. During his time in law school, Anwar was an active volunteer working with UM Law’s HOPE Public Interest Resource Center, Lawyers to the Rescue, and mentoring at-risk youth through the Empowered Youth Mentoring Program. After graduating law school, Anwar worked with the Offices of the Public Defender for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Tampa, Florida, and subsequently was an associate at one of Florida’s largest insurance defense law firms, where he first began his practice of first-party property claims. Overall, Anwar considers himself to be hardworking, driven, and dedicated to making a difference.
