OVERVIEW
Colton Beck grew up in Dunedin, Florida. In 2012, Mr. Beck graduated from the University of South Florida with a double major in business economics and finance. He would go on to earn his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida Law School. Mr. Beck had a focus on public service both in law school, where he interned at the 8th Circuit Public Defender’s Office, and as a lawyer, where he practiced law as an associate attorney at the 13th Circuit Public Defender’s Office.
At the public defender’s office, Mr. Beck gained experience in every step of the trial process, working in the felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile divisions and taking client’s cases to verdict in all those divisions. Mr. Beck strengthened his motion practice through researching, writing, and litigating substantive issues such as coerced confessions, unconstitutional searches, and standing your ground. As important as that litigation experience has been, empathy, communication, and aggressive diligence are the values Mr. Beck centers his law practice around. Now Mr. Beck uses those same skills and values to fight for homeowners in the state of Florida.
