OVERVIEW
Lauren M. Stevens, Esq. is a civil litigation attorney with a focus in first-party property in Florida. She represents Florida homeowners whose insurance claims have been wrongfully denied or underpaid. Ms. Stevens obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University and went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, with a certification in International Legal Studies.
After law school, Ms. Stevens worked with the Office of the Public Defender of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Tampa, Florida. During her time at the Public Defenders office, Ms. Stevens gained extensive in-court litigation and trial experience. After her time at the Public Defenders office, Ms. Stevens began work for one of Florida’s largest insurance defense firms where she focused on first-party property claims. Her experience defending insurance companies provides Ms. Stevens a unique and insightful understanding of how insurance claims are handled by each party, from the point in which the claim is made by the homeowner through litigation. This knowledge lends to high-quality representation with an ability to provide the most effective counsel and obtain favorable outcomes for her clients.
In addition to her legal career, Ms. Stevens is an active member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association and the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers. In her free time, Lauren enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
