Nick Thompson is originally from Detroit but currently lives in St. Petersburg, Florida. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University. While at FSU, Nick was a nationally recognized public speaker and a leader in his fraternity, Sigma Pi. Nick earned his Juris Doctorate, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Minnesota. During his tenure at the University of Minnesota, Nick served as Law Council President, interned with the Washington Supreme Court, competed on the Civil Rights Moot Court, and successfully argued a case before the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
After law school, Nick parlayed his academic and professional credentials into a job with one of Florida’s largest insurance defense firms. Most recently, Nick has transitioned to representing homeowners whose insurance companies improperly denied or underpaid property damage claims, as well as the victims of automobile accidents and slip and falls.
At Krapf Legal, Nick relies on his vast civil litigation experience to fight insurance companies that refuse to pay hurricane, wind, water, fire, and sinkhole claims. He also represents victims injured by the negligence of others, including in motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, and trip and falls. He believes in empowering his clients so they can make informed decisions about their cases. He strives to practice with clarity, determination, and compassion.
In his free time, Nick enjoys CrossFit, kickboxing, hosting trivia, and quelling his caffeine addiction by frequenting St. Pete’s coffeehouses.
